Poems From College

June 12, 1997, Father's Day

In through the light of a yellow window

slightly cracked for the breeze

calmed from the rain

normal and tidy

quiet and clean

simple and raw

whitening my skin and laminating my smile

nowadays things are changed

come and see, come and perform

now we creep, and slither and cover-up

crazy and dazed

sane and corrupt
